So if you still haven't found
what you're looking for
(for the record I prefer the bluegrass
version by Dale Ann Bradley
)

In no particular order here are
some Dave & David Quayles
who are not me :

There's the co-founder of B&Q (it's what the Q stands for)
(not that it's ever got me any discount); he's done
quite a bit since, too.
The
Woolworths Museum is interesting
and he's the only one of us here with a Wikipedia entry,
albeit only a link to the
Wikipedia B&Q entry.

As well as him above, the Zoominfo site ("know your stuff") also has entries for:
i) the
ex-Ombudsman for something or other (oh all right, Estate Agents - supply your own jokes)
who also used to be a Major General & is now involved with an NHS Trust Board in Salisbury;
ii). the Australian the
founder and Managing Director of Traffic Intelligence;
iii). an
adviser, ex-local government, at the wonderfully named Leamington Spa law firm of Wright Hassell

There's a Labour Party local government politician in Trafford, who's been active in Europe.
He's got more mentions on Google or the search engine of your choice
than anyone else mentioned here. Sports a prominent moustache.

In the same area geographically there's the Badge Secretary of the St Helens & District Scouts

Another DQ working in local government,
CEO with
Northamptonshire ACRE (Action with Communities in rural England).

I'm not the NLP practictioner working out of Cheltenham

nor the young (it's all relative) British technical analyst and software engineer

And talking of young, there's an entertaining street stunts and stuff
9 minute rollerblading video called
Dave Quayle's GREG on YouTube
with a nice bit of slide guitar nicked from somewhere at the end;
when I last looked it had had 57 views

Much older is an Australian long distance runner
who's probably hung up his running shoes by now
and may even have moved over into administration
(lots of links to where he finished in races, not given here);
there's a fair number of DQs in Oz mentioned in despatches actually,
unless of course they are all the same man

There's the onetime bass guitarist in Isle of Man blues band Steamroller
(he may still be for all I know); they gigged at a blues festival there in 2003 & 2004

& there are indeed quite a few other people with the same moniker on the Isle of Man
(it's where the modern name comes from), like Dave, whose son
Jaime just graduated.

Not to mention the famous (in Oz at least) David Quayle bridle, which I won't. Damn.

Apologies to those I've not mentioned.

Just for the record, these are me:

Letter of the month (at the bottom of the page) in a When Saturday Comes archive; Still a good magazine, though I do wish they'd get down off their high horse about the MK Dons - get over it

Type Ctrl+F once you get there, to find my contribution to a Doris Lessing webchat from a few years ago; I used to be able to say I'd read all her books but I can't seem to finish them these days. Anyone recognise the quote?

I'm near the bottom on this interesting strand on the saddest books from writer John Baker's blog.

And of course all the stuff with a Kinks connection

& ... hello, if it really was me you were looking for ... back to the home page
